Wedding Photographs?

Probably caused total confusion putting that title, but let me explain.

On the day of our wedding the only thing that really let us down was the good old English weather.  It was raining.  It is because of this we were unable to get any pictures of me and my beautiful wife outside on the day.

Our photographer (Ashley Barnard - https://www.facebook.com/photographerBlackpool?fref=ts), told us that when the weather improved and we got a nice day he would take us back to our wedding venue and get some good pics of us outdoors in our wedding outfits.  Today was that day.

It started nice and early at the ridiculous time of 7.30 (didn't realise that there were two of these in the day).  After a first cup of tea (don't leave home without it) and a few minutes to wake up, Mandi (sister who had kindly come up from Stoke to help deb into her wedding dress), drove us down to Blackpool town centre for Deb to have her hair put up the way it was on the wedding day.  Our hairdresser Mark (who had come in on his day off to do her hair especially - https://www.facebook.com/hippohair.blackpool?fref=ts) is amazing and I would highly recommend him if you live in the Blackpool area.  While Deb was having her hair done me and Mandi went for another brew and a walk around Abbingdon Market.  By the time we were done Deb had still not arrived so we returned to the Salon.  Deb was still there getting her hair curled and after twenty minutes or so of trawling through Hello magazines (some of the rubbish in them is amazing to say the least and half of the 'celebrities' I have never heard of) we returned to the car and came home. By this time it was gone 11.00am and we were due to be picked up at 12.00.

I once again got into my wedding suit while Deb was being manoeuvred into her wedding dress.  Ashley turned up at just before 12.00 and we left promptly.  All last week we had been monitoring the weather and it had not looked good.  Last Monday it had shown that the weather was going to be 21 degrees and sunny (brilliant).  On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this had changed to a downpour and 18 degrees.  On Friday and Saturday it had said 80% rain and severe wind.  On Sunday it had said 40% rain and no wind.  So we decided to brave it and what the hell ............................................................

The result was it was a scorcher of a day with hardly any wind and no hint of rain at all.  We got about two hours of photos in and had an amazing time.  We got back shortly after 3.00pm and were absolutely worn out.  I had travelled back minus cravat, jacket and with top button open on shirt.  It really was an amazing day and got to thank our wonderful photographer for taking us and bringing us back.  If anyone is after a photographer for whatever occasion I would recommend you give him a call.  While he is a professional he also makes you feel like a friend and nothing is too much trouble for him.

A big thanks also to Mrs Suzie Reynolds (Lady of the house at Leighton Hall) for kindly giving us permission to have the grounds for the afternoon even though the house is closed to the public on Mondays.  Anyone interested in historical houses should visit it as its amazing and an awesome venue with vast grounds and photo opportunities (http://www.leightonhall.co.uk/)

Well its now 23.00 and I have been lazy having had three hours sleep this evening.  Think I managed to get myself slight sunstroke but feeling a lot better after my sleep.
