Ok so I admit it. I have been a lazy sod who has done next to no writing in the last few months and has been enjoying the thrills of married life. Hard to think but its been over 4 months now !!!!!!!!!!
So its time to start writing again and I thought what better way than to write a new blog post.
Me and Deb have had some wonderful times in the last few months and to be honest we are still over awed and cant believe that we are finally married after what was almost 14 years !!
Married life has brought us even closer (if that is possible) and we are out more that we are in with the weather being hot in Summer for a change. We are now almost in August and I seem to think that we have even hotter weather to come, we shall see.
We have had several visitors and guests over since I last posted and as well as that we have attended another wedding, been to Liverpool 1 and the docks (with Sarah Hovell and her mum Janet). We have also had my sister Mandi staying and our friend Tony's mum (another Janet) staying too.
I have aged since I last posted on here and am now the ripe old age of 42.............lol. Another thing that has changed is the colour of my hair. People ask me if it was to cover up the grey that had started to take over my head, but the truth is I just fancied a change from my normal colour. So I went from brown/grey to blonde, and when I say blonde, I mean blonde ! It was a bit of a shock at first but now I am used to it I really like it and another plus is that most people have not only said it suits me, but that it makes me look younger. Now that can not be a bad thing..............lol
My birthday week was amazing. Sarah and her mum arrived on the 13th July and stayed for the whole week. Monday was a trip to town and I had my first birthday present of my lovely wife (a new pair of FILA trainers). On the Tuesday we all had a great day at Liverpool One and I was FORCED into the Liverpool shop (twice) and MADE to buy the new Liverpool Shirt for next year (birthday present of Sarah and her mum) and I pre-ordered the new third shirt which I shall be collecting in early August.(another pressie of Deb). I know, shocking isnt it..............he he he. I also picked up a really nice blue Liverpool shirt which I thought was most unusual. A great day was had by all and as well as a nice meal out we rounded of the trip with a walk around Liverpool docks. We were out the house for almost ten hours and when we got back its fair to say we were shattered.
Wednesday was a bit of a nothing day. Mostly recovering from all the walking on the Tuesday. Thursday and we went to Fleetwood and Freeport and again a great day out. You can laugh but Deb persuaded me to have a pair of sandals which I don't normally wear, but they are awesome and are rarely of my feet. Again it was another scorching day and we even had an ice cream.
Friday and Deb had laid on a lovely birthday spread and lots of people came and it turned out to be a great day. Deb also made me a cake (not too old at 42). A good week but it was soon over and now its nearing halfway through Summer.
Our schedule isn't over yet and in a few weeks time we shall be leaving again to go to yet another wedding. Three this year, groom, guest and finally best man. Deb's brother Paul is getting married to Toni in September and he has asked me to be best man (which I have never been before), nervous, yep !!
Anyway will leave it now but its good that my writing block is finally shifting. Even wrote a new poem which I am also posting today. And rest assured that I will be posting more now.
