Facebook Games Part 2

Ok here is a breakdown of a few more of the highly addictive games I play.

5. Nightclub City.  Now this is a fairly new game that I have started playing and it is quite cool.  As the title suggests you have to create a nightclub and make it attractive enough to attract lots of customers.  As the levels progress (I am level 14) the decor and the items you can buy improve in quality.  You can expand your bar, dance floor, seating etc...  The best thing about this game for me is that you are actually the DJ in the club and you decide what style (or artist) is going to be playing.  You can even go to others clubs and guest DJ for them for which you get paid. As well as deciding the music you also get the options of either 'dropping the bass' or 'dedicating a song' (or both).  You can also arrange 'parties' where you have certain tasks to achieve.  Two of the funniest parts of the game involve firstly, you can hire bouncers to get rid of 'trouble' (which either means they are sick everywhere from too much drink or they start fights with everyone) and the second is that you can pay for 'celebrities' to visit your club.  There are two or three for about the $2000 mark, but most are a lot more.  All in all a very cool little game with some great music.

+points.  Nice graphics and some very addictive music that will have you searching Youtube (especially a singer called Zac Poor (the guy has an amazing voice)).  You can hire your friends as bar staff or bouncers and the parties are good earners.

-points.  Only one but it is a big one.  In order to get the best out of the game you have to almost sit on it permanently to make sure that you dont run out of drinks or that you are not overrun with jerks and troublemakers (which makes your popularity go down).  Only for those with a lot of time on their hands.

6. Casino City.  Another new addition here and its much like Nighclub City except this time you have to create a casino from scratch.  The object of the game is to gain popularity and money buy buying slot machines, poker machines, pontoon tables etc...  You also have to buy items to decorate your casino from trees to fountains.  Later on in the game (I am level 9) you can even buy bars and drinks machines.  Its a very colourful game and very entertaining.  You can once again visit 'neighbours' who guest you tokens to play their machines.  You can also let them know when their machines are full and need emptying.  When you are in your own casino you can give people complimentary drinks which also adds to your popularity.

+points.  Nice simple game with easy menus and simple logic to progression.  Sound effects realistic.

-points.  Unfortunately its the same as Nightclub City in that you need to keep a constant eye on it as your machines fill up quite quickly and if they are left too long your popularity again decreases.  Its also quite tedious waiting for your level to rank up.  Unless you have lots of chips the gaps between levelling up can take some time.

7. City of Wonder.  Now this is quite a challenging game.  The idea is that you start with a very basic 'settlement' with little knowledge of anything and you have to 'learn' new ideas such as trade, machinery, agriculture etc.  The higher your level the more is opened up and the bigger you can expand your city.  The process of expansion is quite easy in the early stages of the game but as you progress it gets more expensive and unless you have a good supply from your 'markets' and 'businesses' you will find it a little tough going.  I am level 20 and its taking an eternity to get to the next level.  You can build friends embassies in your city and this is a good source of extra income.  As well as this you can also request for them to place your embassies in their cities which you can visit and collect money (silver) from each day.  There are three main quests you can do when you visit other cities that are not your friends.  You can choose 'culture' where you will see which city is more cultured and if you win then you get xp to increase your level.  You can choose to 'trade' where if you have better quality goods you can gain silver or you can choose war where you find out who has the best attack and defence and if its you, you gain population for your city.  It is important to keep your population happy and providing you build enough cultural buildings this isnt difficult.  There are a lot of things you can build from museums and universities to landmarks such as Stonehenge and The great Pyramid.

+points.  Well its a nice kind of 'Sim City' game if a little basic.  Its not time consuming as once you start to 'learn' something new it can take some time (over a day sometimes).  Its got good graphics and when you zoom in on your city you can actually see your people going about their daily lives.

-points.  Well basically its another game where you often find yourself attacked by people and you know when this has happened because all your military buildings will appear as flames which you constantly need to keep repairing.  Some of the 'Landmarks' require your neighbours to click to help you build which I have found can be time consuming and sometimes near impossible (make sure you have reliable neighbours). The most annoying thing is when you come onto the game after being away you find that all your buildings are dirty and this mean a systematic clicking on every building.  At the start this isnt too bad but later as your city expands this becomes a tiring and tedious job.
