Well the day started with me and Deb cleaning and getting ready for the arrival of my sister Mandy and her boyfriend Roger. We cleaned everywhere (even polished the spiders and made sure their webs were dust free...........lol).
Did a bit of email and a few surveys while we waited for them and at 16.45 I decided to watch the England v Spain (pointless) friendly. England won 1-0 but how is anyones guess. Spain absolutely controlled the game and should have won but some resolute defending, a lot of poor finishing and a slice of luck helped England to escape with the win. I didnt really see much was gained but no doubt people are now saying we can win Euro 2012 and to be honest we have as much chance as anyone. Outstanding player on the day Scott Parker (played superb).
My sister arrived at just after 18.00 and after having a quick cup of tea and a chat we decided to get ourselves ready for our night out. We had a taxi booked and it arrived bang on time and we were at the theatre for just after 19.00. We all thoroughly enjoyed Mike Harding and though quite a few of the jokes we had heard before he delivered them so well we just had to laugh at them. Some good funny songs and a very serious one called 'Bombers Moon', about the ones who sacrificed their lives piloting and gunning on the Lancaster Bombers that used to operate during the war. I only found out that night that the average life expectancy for a Lancaster gunner was three weeks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After the two hour show we came home and just talked about the show for a couple of hours and had a couple of drinks. Went bed at about 1.00am.
