Nice Quiet Day......lol

Got up and did pc stuff..............at about 11.00am our friends mum turned up and stayed for a chat.  She left about 12.30 and then I settled down to watch football.

First game Wolves v Swansea and this was a strange game.  Swansea tortured the hell out of wolves for most of the game and deservedly took a 2-0 lead and they looked to be cruising and creating chances at will.  Swansea were good attacking but always looked dodgy at defending and it was this that cost them and the game ended 2-2.

Second game was Newcastle v Wigan.  This was a very even game all the way through and there was some brilliant play on both sides and a lot of good attacking football.  Newcastle won the game with a second half curling effort from Cabaye from the edge of the area.

Third game was Liverpool v Norwich.  The first half liverpool absolutely cut Norwich apart and though they went in with a 1-0 half time lead it could so easily have been 4-0.  They hit the crossbar early in the first half after a corner was headed goalward by Martin Skrtle.  They were the better team by far.  The second half was totally different and Norwich came into the game more and more.  Grant Holt scored the equaliser and almost scored a winner shortly after.  Liverpool pushed for a winner in the closing minutes and in the dying seconds Suarez forced a fine save from the Norwich keeper.

After the football I settled down and did some writing and then in the evening I listened to some more Mike Oldfield music (Crises, Islands and Discovery).  To me Islands is one of his best cd's.

Watched another two episodes of Doc Martin and then went to bed.
