Yeyyyyy......we got out.......lol

It started of good today and never let up.  First of all let me apologise for the short entry yesterday.  I was going to write quite a bit but when the time came for me to write my blog i had a very bad headache that i couldnt shift.

Yesterday we actually managed to get out for a couple of hours.  No rain and the wind wasnt that bad (wasnt too cold either).  Nothing exciting just went town for a look around and to get some halloween decorations.  Picked up a dvd from HMV (Creepshow 3), and while in there saw that they still have the Clint Eastwood boxset for £49 (online £114.99 go figure) !!!!!

Came home and did some more writing.  In the evening (6.00pm) I went to watch football on ITV4 (first game was Wisla Krakow v Fulham).  A weird game that ended 1-0 to the Polish team.  A fulham player (Dembele) got sent of for an apparent punch into the face of (Nunez).  However after seeing the replay it is quite evident that the player (Nunez) did not get hit in the face but rather got pushed on the shoulder.  He went down clutching his face and writhing around in supposed agony.  No way a red card, might have been a yellow but hope Nunez gets found guilty of deliberately getting a man sent off and is either fined or banned.  Wisla went on to score and Fulham were not very good on the night.  1-0 maybe fair result.

Second game was Stoke City v Maccabi Tel Aviv.  Gulf in class was apparent from the start.  Stoke were 3-0 up in 30 mins thanks to headers from first Kenwyne Jones and then Cameron Jerome before Ryan Shotton made it three nil with a placed finish.  That is when the game got erm...........interesting.
Cameron Jerome was shown a second yellow card somewhat controversially for elbowing an opponent, though how much he knew of the incident is anyones guess as he didnt even know the defender was there.  After that Stoke basically just had to hold on and hope for more chances.  Maccabi were not good enough (even 11 men against 10) and never really looked like scoring.  in the second half it was ten against ten as maccabi lost a player for kicking his boot at the assistant referee.......I joke not.  (see if you can find it on youtube, its hilarious).  Ended 3-0 and without the sending off it could have been six or seven.

After that I came on here for half an hour or so, and then we settled down to watch the first two episodes of series 5 of Doc Martin (I still think its one of the best series shown on tv).  Martin Clunes cracks me up, not because he is funny in it, but because he is so arrogant and pompous.  Caroline Catz is also good as Louisa Glasson, the long suffering mother of his new child . Highly recommended.  I would give it ***** rating
