Waiting for Saturday, maybe

The waiting gets to me

The stress takes its toll on me

And still I’m waiting

The focal point of the week

The reason to hope

The time is nearly here

And still I’m waiting

Everything I want rests on Saturday

Every dream I have may come true

Just a while longer

And still I’m waiting

Now its time to hope

The balls have been released

Three numbers have been called

And still I’m waiting

Last three are read out

Then I check my numbers

Not a one on any line

The waiting is over

But I don’t give up hope

There is still a chance for me

There’s another draw next week

Until then I’ll keep waiting

I remember being like this.  First few years I played religiously.  Always counting down the days until I had the chance again.  Noy anymore.  Never play the usual lottery and only ever play any if there is a huge rollover.
